Volker Racing Plugs - Double Iridium





DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS:

1. Terminal coated with Silver-Nickel for better electrical conductivity. It also helps prevent welding of the terminal nut to the spark plug cap.

2. Detonation counter design. Small surface area and rounded edges of ground electrode and center electrode; thereby reducing hot spots that cause pre-ignition and post ignition.

3. Zirconium oxide (ZrO2) added to Al2O3 (Alumina Oxide) ceramic improves durability
during extreme conditions. These specifications are used in LPG spark plugs / rockets / missiles.

4. Smoother idling compared to other detonation counter plugs due to the protrusion design of the centre electrode. Unlike other DC plugs, Volker DC plugs can be used for both city and track driving. Due to the unique design, the DC plug does not foul easily.

5. Machined made metal casing, not forged like other detonation counter plugs. This prevents metal porosity, resulting in improved toughness and durability.

6. Improved Gasket design that does not wear the cylinder head – as used in Porsche plugs.

7. Solid Iridium ground electrode is welded twice, 1st by Pulse welding and 2nd by Laser. This ensures strength.

8. Laser welded (Ü shape) to ensure welding is 100% strong.

9. Volker spec-II uses solid iridium (4x harder than platinum) ground electrode. The center electrode diameter is 0.5 mm that promotes rapid cooling and detonation prevention.
